It is exciting , thrilling and I am nervous . This anxiety is creeping into me ( LOL) , that it is difficult to write. All I have written so far is essays when I was in school, scary exam papers, children's essays when they were in school, Vedika , my daughter's speeches ; for her public speaking classes, and now this .
I always have heated arguments while discussing current affairs with friends and family. I wonder why is it that my views are often different than others !!!!!! So here I am , want to share my views with more people and in the process, understand more .
The most current topic is obviously Corona. Corona the good doer ( if at all there is a word like that ) .
Year 2020. Most sarvajanik ( public ) festivals stand cancelled or reduced in numbers.
In the pre independence era , there was a purpose why some festivals were made sarvajanik . As time passed, they became commercial, made a lot of money. Posed grave dangers to the environment , created nuisance in terms of traffic on already stressed and broken roads of Mumbai and other cities of the country. No government ever did anything to stop this. Come Corona, the much needed PAUSE button is hit. Festivals can be celebrated and prayers can be offered in the bounds of ones own house. Step out and worship the flag of your country . Any takers ?????????
